The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive 2002/96/EC Compliance Policy.

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE) 2002/96/EC applies to companies that manufacture, sell, distribute, recycle, or treat electrical and electronic equipment, and to consumers within the EU. The objective of the Directive is to reduce the waste arising from electrical and electronic equipment and to improve the environmental performance of all parts and processes involved in the life cycle of these products.

This Directive which was issued by the European Parliament, stipulates that producers of electrical and electronic equipment shall be held responsible for the products reuse, recycling and disposal at the end of its useful life.

Trumeter, as a business to business producer, will discharge its responsibilities in accordance with the Directive as a member of a Producer Compliance Scheme. which is operated by DHL/RID.

Trumeter have registered as a producer under the requirements of the scheme and will provide all relevant information so that DHL/RID can discharge their obligations with regard to WEEE.
